For the dollhouse fan in every little girl at heart
The Denver Museum of Miniatures, Dolls, and Toys is a very popular Denver museum with exhibits highlighting rare and antique toys from around the world.
The museum is set in a Denver historic home called the Pearce-McAllister Cottage, and the home itself is a museum piece. Vintage doll and toy displays are set in nearly every room and hallway of the house. The biggest attraction at the museum are the intricate doll houses, many of which are based on real homes such as the Lace House in Central City.
In addition, there are train and car exhibits for the boys, as well as a vintage Nintendo game system that kids (and adults remembering their childhood) can play. There is a hands-on doll house in the home's sunroom, and the entire basement is an arts and crafts area. The gift shop is a great place to find unique miniatures to augment your own collection.
